At Home in Newark: Stories from the Queer Newark Oral History Project

I’m honored to have one of my images chosen to be a part of a Rutgers University traveling exhibit called At Home in Newark: Stories from the Queer Newark Oral History Project.

The exhibit is based on audio interviews for the Queer Newark Oral History Project, which works to preserve and celebrate the history of the LGBTQ community in Newark, NJ.

The image is of singer/actor Lovari, which I captured at a community event/fundraiser at the The Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery during his performance in 2015.

The exhibit runs at the Newark Public Library from December 14, 2017, through March 2018. Opening night is December 14, from 5-8pm in Centennial Hall.

Please consider visiting to support the project!
